Islamabad:
The Supreme Court will take up ten calls linked to electoral disputes today.
A bench of three members led by Judge Amicin Khan will hear these calls, from 9:30 am. The bench also includes judge Naeem Akhtar Afghan and judge Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb.
The planned cases include the petition of Aqeel Aslam concerning the presumed rigging in PP-182. There are distinct petitions of Muhammad Rafiq and Ali Imran concerning delimitation.
Ghazanfar Rasool and Major (RETD) Faisal Aziz have deposited distinct petitions contesting the rejection of their appointment documents and Sarbuland Khan and Saleh Bhutani have deposited distinct petitions for having told votes.
There is a petition by Malik Ashraf Khan contesting the results of the elections under Form 47. There is also a petition by Muhammad Shehbaz concerning dual nationality and its impact on its candidacy.
