Houston Texans Safety CJ Gardner-Johnson was feared that he had suffered a significant injury during Thursday training in Virginia-Western, but seems to have avoided the worst possible result, according to the last update.
The LCA of Gardner-Johnson is intact, but the team performs more tests to determine the extent of the injury, ESPN reported.
The team would not be concerned about the LCA of Gardner-Johnson.

Gardner-Johnson, 27, was injured while trying to tackle the wide receiver John Metchie in practice. Once the two contacted, Gardner-Johnson fell on the ground and suffered.
Security could not exert any pressure on his right leg, and the medical staff finally helped him to a cart.
“It’s heartbreaking when you see a guy going down to the field like that and does not get up quickly,” said head coach Demeco Ryans about the injury after training.

“I am always nervous as a chief coach every time I see someone hitting the ground. It is difficult to look. So, we will see – we will assess CJ, see where it is, but no update at the moment.”
Gardner-Johnson begins his first season with the Texans after being acquired from the Eagles of Philadelphia in exchange for the left goalkeeper Kenyon Green. It was expected that it was the free team security after the Texans lost Eric Murray in a free agency against the Jacksonville jaguars.

Gardner-Johnson was exceptional for the Super Bowl winners last season. In 16 regular season games last year, security had six interceptions (one of which came back for a touch), 59 combined plated and a forced escape.
Gardner-Johnson succeeded in 14 plated in the four qualifying games of the team.
