Lahore:

The Ministry of Civil Defense of Punjab has unveiled the advanced drone technology to manage emergencies in dangerous and inaccessible places, marking significant upgrading of the response to catastrophes in the province.

The initiative was presented to the Civil Secretariat, where the provincial Minister of Health and Chairman of the Cabinet Committee on Law and Order, Khawaja Salman Rave, and Secretary Home, Dr Ahmad Javed Qazi, witnessed a live demonstration of the new equipment.

Drons have shown capacity, including air people from dangerous sites, to neutralize explosives and lead surveillance.

Other high -tech tools – such as remote -controlled vehicles, snake cameras, IED drones, anti -drone cannons, bombs elimination combinations and mine detectors – were also exposed.

A bomb removal robot has managed to neutralize an explosive device in an inaccessible place, while a heavy drone wore a 60 kg model, presenting its potential to save people blocked from high -rise buildings, fire areas or rugged land.

“This drone service is an important step for civil defense,” said Khawaja Salman Rave. “Our staff are leading soldiers during floods and emergencies, and we equip them with world class tools to save lives.”

Information of the Minister, Dr. Qazi underlined the recent achievements, in particular the neutralization of 29 Indian drones during increased border tensions, stressing the role of civil defense in peace and conflicts.

The Department of Origin also develops a mobile application to record citizens as volunteers, aimed at extending the participation of the community to a response in the event of a disaster. “This application will soon be launched to rationalize the registration of volunteers,” he said.

With advanced training for bombs elimination teams and the support of district administrations, Punjab positions civil defense as a modern and well -equipped force to meet the evolutionary safety and emergency challenges.
