- More pixel watch 4 information leaked
- We can see new sensors and charging contacts
- The laptop should be launched on August 20
The Pixel Watch 4 will almost certainly be revealed alongside the Pixel 10 series and the Pixel Buds 2A on Wednesday August 20 – although Google has confirmed the date, not what is launched – and a new leak gives us more information on the laptop.
The images published on Reddit (via 9TO5google) show what official marketing slides appear for the Pixel Watch 4 watch, detailing features such as improved sustainability, battery life and the accuracy of activities monitoring – graciousness of a “Gen 3 sensor hub”.
It would be an upgrade on the sensors that we saw with the Google Pixel Watch 3, and should mean better precision in readings such as heart rate – although we do not know with certainty before having the opportunity to try it.
We also obtain another overview of the rather unusual lateral load system which appeared in a previous leak, with charging contacts positioned on the side of the watch box: it seems that you will be able to recharge the Pixel 4 watch.
“Technological advances”
There are a lot of positive phrasing in these marketing media, as you can imagine. The watch apparently brings “significant technological progress” to its predecessor, as well as “premium artisanal design”.
The battery life is listed as reaching 30 hours between charges, which would be an increase of 25% compared to the current model. Better battery life had already been mentioned in previous leaks, so we hope in this particular department.
It is also mentioned of the two expected watch sizes, 41 mm and 42 mm, while the integration of Gemini is mentioned, as well as the “Double frequency” GPS – which suggests that the laptop will be more precise and faster in the declaration of its location.
With the rest of the disclosed information that has also emerged in recent days, it seems that the Pixel Watch 4 could be an attractive perspective, when it is ultimately confirmed – and may be a place on our best list of smart watches.
