Former tribal southern Waziristan have reaffirmed their determination to stand in the shoulder with the security forces until the threat of terror is eliminated.
A large and historic Jirga of the former tribal of Mehsud and Burki took place Sunday in the region of Spinkai Raghzai, in southern Waziristan.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (South) Inspector General of the Frontier Corps (FC) attended the tribal meeting as a main guest.
During the Jirga, the former tribals paid a rich tribute to the Pakistani army and the FC for their sacrifices to ensure lasting peace.
They also reaffirmed their determination to stand in the shoulder with the security forces until the full threat of Khawarij.
“Khawarij” is a term used to designate terrorists belonging to Tehreek-E-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
The main guest recognized the unrivaled sacrifices of the tribal people in the fight against the TTP.
He also stressed the importance of the role of the ancients in the distance from the young generation of negative propaganda of anti-state elements.
He also appreciated the services of local people who have excelled in various fields, describing their dedication, their hard work and their positive contributions as role models for the region.
On this occasion, the IG FC assured that the Mehsud tribes that operate on the Gurbaz to Mangrotai Road project would begin soon.
The former tribal people praised the efforts of the Pakistani army and the FC for the promotion of development projects and progress in the education of girls.
