Robbie Brewer, a racing car driver in track, died during the weekend after having undergone a medical emergency when he was in competition in a race.
The Brewer vehicle broke head-on in a wall of the Bowman Gray Stadium in Winston-Salem, in North Carolina, Saturday evening. He participated in the race for the Sportsman series of 20 Tours, which occurs every weekend on four divisions.
The car stopped near the finish line, and the 53 -year -old brewer was withdrawn after the workers on the track removed the roof.

Brewer was transported urgently to the Baptist hospital in Wake Forest Atrium Health, where he finally died, according to the Winston-Salem Journal.
“We are saddened by the death of Robbie Brewer after having been transported to a medical establishment in the region following a medical incident on track,” trail officials said in a statement.

“Robbie was a talented and passionate race, and a very respected competition among his peers. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of Robbie at the moment.”
Brewer’s medical emergency details have not been disclosed.

Brad Lewis, another Bowman Gray driver, said Brewer “was like a big brother for me even if we were not so far from age.” The Lewis racing shop was near where Brewer lived.
“He was a Thorugh and through wheel and through,” added Lewis. “I will not only honor the rest of the season, but as long as we run there. We will miss it.”
Brewer is being raced on the track, which served as an exhibition event of the Nascar Cup Series in February since 1990.

Brewer made nearly 260 departures from the sports division and he won the championship in 2011, according to the Winston-Salem Journal.
