As part of the current anti-terrorist campaign, the security forces neutralized three other terrorists in the Balutchistan Zhob district-bearing the total number of activists killed in the four-day to 50 anti-infiltration operation in the Sambaza region along the Pakistani-Afghanistan border.

Inter-service public relations (ISPR), in a statement published on Tuesday, said that weapons, ammunition and explosives have also been recovered from militants belonging to the Indian proxy Fitna al-Khwarij-prohibited the Tehreek-E-Taliban Pakistan (TTP)-at night between August 10 and August 11.

“The security forces remain determined to secure the country’s borders and to thwart attempts to sabotage peace, stability and progress in Pakistan,” added the army media wing.

The development comes when the forces had succeeded in engaging and neutralizing 33 terrorists trying to infiltrate Afghanistan in Pakistan in the night between August 7 and 8.

This was followed by another action where 14 other terrorists were killed on August 9, bringing the total of the total to 47 terrorists killed.

Pakistan witnessed an increase in cross -border terrorist incidents since Taliban leaders returned to Afghanistan in 2021, especially in the bordering provinces of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balutchistan.

According to a report published by Pakistan Institute for Conflict and Security Studies (PICSS), a reflection group based in Islamabad, the country attended 78 terrorist attacks during the month of June, which left at least 100 deaths.

Among the deaths were 53 security staff, 39 civilians, six activists and two members of local peace committees.

A total of 189 people were injured, including 1,26 members of the security forces and 63 civilians.

In total, violence and operations led to 175 deaths in June – including 55 security staff, 77 activists, 41 civilians and two members of the peace committee.
