New York police are asking for the public to identify a man accused of having thrown an adult toy who hit a 12 -year -old girl at A Liberty game in Brooklyn earlier this month.

Friday, NyPD Crime Stoppers published a video on X showing the alleged suspect, who is wanted for assault following an incident Wgb Match on August 5.

Adult toys have been launched in at least six WNBA games in the past two weeks. The first occurred in a match in Atlanta on July 29. The Liberty did not immediately respond to a request for comments, but a spokesperson told NBC New York that they worked with the police.

“All we can share at the moment is that there is an investigation in progress and that we cooperate with the police,” said the spokesperson.

An anonymous person linked to a crypto group claimed the responsibility of at least certain incidents, but the WNBA did not respond to requests for comments concerning the validity of these complaints.
