Dana White of the UFC: the White House is fighting “absolutely arriving”

President Donald Trump revealed plans last month to have a UFC card in the White House to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States next year.

The president of the UFC, Dana White, admitted shortly after the announcement that he had no idea that Trump would mention it in a public setting, but the ball has rolled since.

White recently discussed potential matches, but they don’t seem to be assumptions at this stage.

“It will absolutely happen,” White told the Associated Press. “Think about it, the 250th anniversary of the United States of America, the UFC will be on the lawn of the White House live on CBS.”

“This is a unique event.”

White promised “the most nasty card of all time” during an appearance in the podcast, confirming that Jon Jones, who retired on June 21 and celebrated his last victory with a Trump dance with the president in the presence, returned to the drug test pool.

“Everyone wants to fight on this card. Literally everyone,” said White “Complete podcast.”

Jones almost confirmed this week that he would fight in the White House.

“As I heard Donald Trump’s announcement, I started to train,” said Jones in a recent post.

Trump has attended many UFC events over the years, more recently in Newark, NJ for UFC 316.

The UFC will get rid of its à la carte model as part of its massive agreement of $ 7.7 billion to broadcast its events on Paramount + from 2026, its parent company TKO announced on Monday.

Paramount will distribute 13 of its main events and 30 nights of combat via its direct platform to consumers, Paramount +, with selected events broadcast on CBS. There will be no additional cost for fans who wish to watch numbered UFC events.
