A teenager from Pennsylvania had her lawsuit on the duty of a trans athlete against her high school rejected by a federal judge.

Aislin Magalngo, cross-country runner and Quakertown Community High School track, continued the school and the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) earlier this year. The trial alleys that Magalngo was led to compete with a trans student at the Plymouth Whitemarsh High School during a cross-country meeting in September 2024.

Allen won first place in competition, while Magalengo arrived second. The trial claims that Magalengo continued to face Allen throughout the season.

The judge of the American district court Wendy Beetlestone rejected the prosecution on August 1. Betlelestone was appointed by former President Barack Obama in November 2014.

“Her modified complaint is devoid of any factual allegation according to which she has been subject to determined discrimination, apart from asserting them as much in a most conclusive way,” wrote Wendy Beetlestone in his decision. “She underlines no case of students assigned to a woman at birth being treated differently from those who have been assigned to birth, and, as such, she did not say in a plausibly a request for discrimination based on sex.”

Keith Altman’s lawyer said that they will appeal the decision.

“The customer is disappointed, of course, and always believes strongly in what happened,” said Altman, according to NBC Philadelphia. “We will continue to continue the problem. We think it is an extremely important problem, and it must be solved.

“It is irrefutable that men, as a general proposal, are more physically capable than women. We think that it is fundamentally unfair than someone who simply says:” Well, I identify myself as a woman “is now able to compete with women and dominate the athletics of women. It simply does not make sense.”
