A large ceremony is currently taking place on Jinnah d’Islamabad’s field to celebrate the 78th day of the independence of Pakistan and the recent victory in Marka-E-Haq.
President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the Chief of the Army Staff (COAS), Marshal Asim Munnir, are present on the site as honor guest. They are accompanied by senior military officials, cabinet members, parliamentarians, foreign diplomats and other notable dignitaries.
The ceremony began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by an impressive tri-service parade by the Pakistani army, the Navy and the Air Force, with military precision and national pride. The event is a tribute to Marka-E-Haq, who is celebrated for its strategic and symbolic meaning.
The program includes special cultural performance, a flypast and a parade by the armed forces. A major highlight will be the unveiling of the Marka-E-Haq monument by the Prime Minister, commemorating military victory against India.
The military contingents of Turkiye and Azerbaijan also participate in the celebrations, symbolizing solid links with friendly nations. A large number of national and international dignitaries are present at the event, which is broadcast live on various platforms.
