“He’s a child,” retaliated the chair referee. “Do you want me to send the stadium?”

Raducanu made a gesture towards the stands, where a plethora of yes was heard.

“I can call,” said the chair referee after hearing the crowd. “But we have to continue for the moment.”

While Raducanu won the following point, Sabalenka won the match after winning the equality break in the third set, 7-5.

After the match, Raducanu said that she was “proud” to push Sabalenka to the point of a third set equality break to determine who won the third round match.

“It is world n ° 1 for a reason,” she said, via TNT Sports. “I pushed it more than what I did to Wimbledon, so it’s an improvement. In addition, it was good to have this result in a hard court because it is very different from the grass, and I always thought that the grass suits me much more – and I always believe it.

“So, having pushed it on a hard ground like that, I’m quite proud.”
