Taylor Swift opened his doors to possession of his own masters after years of difficulty.
During his last appearance to his boyfriend Travis Kelce and his brother Jason’s podcast New heights, THE Lover The singer announced her next album, The life of a showgirl And became Candide on his difficulties of finding the rights to his music.
Taylor said: “I thought of not having my music every day. It was like an intrusive thought that I had every day”, adding: “I want it because it is my manual newspaper in my whole life.”
“These are the songs that I wrote on each phase of my life. It is my photograph, my video clips, most of which I financed, my work of art. All I have ever done is in this catalog,” added the winning artist of a Grammy.
With tears in his eyes, Taylor remembers having sent his mother, Andrea Swift and his brother Austin, to meet Shamrock Capital, who owned the rights.
Excusing to become emotional, Taylor said: “Sorry – it happens, because, I never really talk about it because …”
“They sat with Shamrock Capital and told them what it meant for me,” recalls the singer.
