Chicago Cubs Receiver Miguel Amaya returned to the injured list one day after his return, following a previous injury during the team’s 4-1 victory against the Blue Jays in Toronto on Wednesday evening.
Cubs manager Craig Counsell confirmed the new devastator after the match, telling journalists that Amaya had suffered a sprain from the left ankle during the eighth round.

Medical staff quickly rushed and Counsell said he immediately knew that the injury was important.

Amaya’s injury intervened one day after his return to programming after being placed for the first time on the 60 -day injured list on May 25 due to a left oblique tension. He struck .280 with four circuits and 25 points produced in 27 games before this initial injury.

The right -handed right -handed Cade Horton qualified Amaya as a “special player” after the team’s last defeat against injuries.
“I hate to see what happened to him,” said Horton. “Prayers for him. He is a special player, a great teammate.”
