Islamabad:
The National Assembly has adopted a resolution calling for urgent and complete measures to reduce Pakistan’s population growth rate to sustainable levels.
The resolution was moved by the central chief of the PPPP Syed Naveed Qamar to the Chamber.
Recognizing the serious implications for the growth rate of the alarming population revealed in the census of the population and housing in 2023, the Chamber recognized its negative impact on the capacity of the State to improve the well-being of citizens, in particular by providing fundamental rights such as education, health care, employment, housing and refuge.
