Former English football star Wayne Rooney felt despised by what he thought was a characterization “very unfair” by the legend of the NFL Tom Brady During a recent episode of The New Docuseries according to the Birmingham City FC.
The Amazon Prime series, “Built in Birmingham: Brady & The Blues”, follows the English football club during the 2024-2025 season under a new property, which Brady joined as a minority owner in 2023.

“I am a little worried about the work ethics of our head coach,” said Brady in the clip. “I mean, I don’t know. I don’t have excellent instincts on this subject.”
Rooney responded to the remark in a recent episode of his program on the BBC, “The Wayne Rooney Show.”
“I think it was a very unfair comment. I mean, when I went to Birmingham, they were really in disorder,” started the legend of Manchester United. “I think Tom entered once, which was the day before a match where the day is a little lighter anyway, and I don’t think he really understands football at the time. Maybe he does it now.”

Although he was offended by the remark, Rooney gave credit to Brady’s methods which earned him seven Super Bowl titles.
“But what he understands is that he is a hard worker. We know it. So that is why I am really disappointed with the comment because football is not the NFL. The NFL works for three months of a year. Players also need rest. So, I think he was very unfair, the way he came out and portray this.
“Listen, I respect Tom Brady massively. He is one of the greatest, if not the biggest athlete of all time, and Birmingham seems that they get it right now, which is good.”
