Microsoft directly deploys a new IA Excel function in the cells, so you can take advantage of the generator AI and operate even more information even more easily than you can wrap a simple formula in its calculation sheet software.
Copilot in Excel Cells takes place on Microsoft 365 Copilot Beta users in the initiate program and the beta channel to start, the tighter IA integration will be available on Windows (version 2509+) and Mac (version 16.101+) before reaching the web version.
Working as a normal Microsoft Excel function, users can add optional innovations and ranges of cells for even more context, which leads the results to change automatically when the source data change.

Pidgeon noted that the function = Copilot only uses data on which it has been trained, so it cannot access new data from web or business documents at this stage.
Being a beta product, there are still improvements that Microsoft hopes to bring to his AI Excel assistant, including more data sources beyond the LLM training and allowing the formatting of dates according to the standard standard format rather than on the text, as is currently the case.
