A case was recorded at the Peshawar police station in Sharqi about the alleged abduction of Pakistan Tehreek-E-insaf (PTI) Sanam Javed.
According to the first information report (FIR) tabled Tuesday by his friend, who is a lawyer, Sanam Javed was arrested by five unidentified people on a highly frequented road in Peshawar and forced in a vehicle before being swept away.
The complaint, in the FIR, described the incident to violate seriousness of the law and of the order, declaring that such an act raises questions on the application of the law in the city.
She called for an immediate investigation into the question and the arrest of the people involved in the alleged abduction, reads the FIR.
Meanwhile, information from Pakistan Tehreek-e-insaf (PTI), Sheikh Waqas Akram, said on Monday that party leader Sanam Javed had been recovered in Peshawar, The news reported.
According to Sheikh Waqas, the incident took place on one of the highly frequented roads of Peshawar, where two vehicles intercepted Sanam Javed’s car, adding that individuals would have dragged him out of the vehicle in front of his companions and would have forced him in their own cars before accelerating.
Waqas qualified the incident an act of kidnapping and demanded its immediate release.
He said that these actions were part of a continuing campaign for political victimization against PTI leaders and workers.
On the other hand, the leaders of the PTI and supporters on social networks asked how such an incident could occur under a government led by the PTI to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with many demands the chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur intervenes personally to ensure his safe recovery and translate the leaders in court.
