A severe heat wave has seized the Sindh, with temperatures that should increase considerably above normal, which prompted the meteorological service to issue a heat waves alert.
From today, due to atmospheric pressure, the rural Sindh districts, notably Dadu, Shaheed Benazirabad, Jacobabad, Larkana, Badin, Tharparkar, Umerkot and Hyderabad, are likely to experience temperatures of 6 to 8 degrees higher than the seasonal average.
The heat wave should persist until April 18. In Karachi, strong winds are expected to explode on Sunday and Monday, the temperature reaching a maximum of 38.9 ° C and humidity levels at 42%today. Due to high humidity, the heat index has made the conditions feel as 42 ° C. In rural Sindh, the temperatures of Dadu and Hyderabad airports were recorded at 43 ° C.
Residents of the affected areas were invited to avoid unnecessary trips and to take the necessary precautions to stay safe in extreme weather.
