Mirra Andreeva will have to get used to the things that come with being a French Open champion, including finding the right place to pose for the camera with the trophy.
The 19-year-old Russian became the youngest woman to win a Grand Slam tournament since Monica Seles was 18 when she won her third consecutive French Open in 1992. Andreeva beat Maja Chwalinksa 6-3, 6-2 on Saturday.

Andreeva received the Suzanne Lenglen Trophy for the victory. She raised the piece of material above her head but was in the wrong place. She was asked to slide to her left to lift the trophy again and she was finally able to enjoy the moment.
“I’ve done a lot of visualization before. Not just this tournament, but I’ve had dreams, I’ve thought a lot about how this is going to happen, if it’s going to happen, when it’s going to happen, where,” she said. “The feelings in real life are much better than in your dreams.

“I can consider myself a Grand Slam champion.”
Andreeva admitted that some of her biggest challenges have been responding to coaching. Conchita Martinez, her coach, said the tennis player’s “attitude is difficult,” but when she listens to what she is told, “she has no limits.”

“I know I can be a tough guy sometimes and it’s quite difficult to put up with me,” Andreeva added.
