While the quarter of the MVP Quadruple Aaron Rodgers remains in the pool of free agencies, another potential option may have opened for him in the NFL.
New Orleans’ saints could desperately be desperate for a veteran option after the news that the 2025 Derek Carr season could be in danger due to shoulder injury.
NFL Network reports that surgery could be an option for Carr, which “threatens its availability for this season”.

The injury was a theme of the second year of Carr in New Orleans last season because it missed seven games last year due to a concussion and a fractured hand.
Now, with his season in Jeopardy, the saints may perhaps draw on Rodgers to see if the easy great is somewhere he wanted to play next year.

So we expected Rodgers to go to the city of Steel, but he has not yet made known his intentions. The Vikings of Minnesota continue to remain an option, but the organization is categorical that JJ McCarthy, their choice of first round last season which had to miss all year due to an injury, is their starter towards the camp.
As for the saints, the absence of a car for the season would leave the position of the quarter to Spencer Rattle or Jake Haener, like the bed the depth. Rattler replaced Carr during his injuries last year, and that did not work for the choice of fifth round in 2024, because he went 0-6 in his six departures.
Although Rodgers is an option, the ninth overall choice belongs to the saints this year, and they will be an interesting team to watch. Could they climb over other quarter-back teams to catch their potential quarter of the future?

It should be noted that Carr has only one year on his agreement with the saints before becoming a free agent in 2027.
Rodgers, 41, comes out of a failed mandate with the New York jets, going 6-12 in its 18 departures with the team.
