Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty on Thursday, during which the two sides discussed regional developments and stressed the importance of continued dialogue and diplomatic engagement, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA).
In an article on X, the Foreign Ministry said the two foreign ministers discussed regional developments and stressed the importance of continued dialogue and diplomatic engagement.
According to the ministry, Abdelatty appreciated Pakistan’s continued mediation efforts, while both leaders expressed hope that the ongoing efforts would result in an early agreement between the parties and contribute to lasting regional peace and stability.
The Foreign Ministry said Abdelatty also invited the Deputy Prime Minister and the Foreign Minister to attend the upcoming meeting of the four regional foreign ministers (R-4) in Egypt later this month, which the DPM/FM accepted.
Both sides agreed to remain in close contact, the ministry added.

Earlier, Foreign Minister Dar highlighted the importance of developing a competitive, innovative and sustainable automotive ecosystem.
He highlighted that such a system could support economic growth, strengthen industrial capacity, generate skilled jobs and advance environmental sustainability through a future-ready automotive sector.

Dar chaired a high-level meeting to review the automobile and auto parts policy, with a special focus on accelerating Pakistan’s transition to electric vehicles (EVs), the DPM office said in a statement.
The committee was briefed on measures to promote the adoption of electric vehicles and strengthen domestic manufacturing.
