One of my favorite things about Sora, the incredible Videos generator of Openai, is that you can see what everyone in the world does with. People generate both fixed images and videos to Sora, and because you can see exactly what they create as a large gallery, you can have an overview of current AI generation trends.
Of course, the trend in the box action figure is always strong, and before that, it was the Ghibli-Studio style images. But today, I noticed that there is a lot of attraction directly to the developers appearing in the Image gallery of Sora.
These take the form of people who hold notice tables with messages like “Sora Team, we need generation of 16: 9!” And “Sora Team, we need an autonomous application!”, Bolding that new features are added, or protesting their image generation policies, in the hope that the Sora team see them.
It’s pretty fascinating to see how people have taken technology and used it for something completely different from what it is designed to do.
Innovation Sérendie
I’m sure there must be a word to take technology and use it unexpectedly for which it was not intended, but I cannot think what it is. “Innovation Sérentipées” is quite close, as is “transmogrification”, but they are not quite there.
Whatever the word, it is fascinating for me to see the innovative uses that people have found for AI.
Of course, there is no evidence that the Sora team will act on one of these requests, but you should imagine that they always keep an eye on what people create with their software, and that will probably have a certain influence.
Access Sora
Sora works through you by first creating an image from an prompt, then creating a video from a prompt -based prompt.
Sora is not an autonomous application (which is one of the things that people generally ask), it only exists option inside Chatgpt Plus and Chatgpt Pro in the web browser. When you click Sora, the whole interface changes and you are in the video generator application.
If you click on images, you can see all the images that people create, and if you click on one, you can see the real prompt they have used to create it.
This can be very useful when designing your own guests, or as people have recently discovered it, if you want to try to send a message to developers to request new features.
