Verdict on the bail request of the hosts of Pinky reserved

Police present documentary evidence of over 500 pages against suspects

KARACHI:

The District and Sessions Judge South has reserved the verdict on the bail pleas of the alleged facilitators of accused Anmol alias Pinky in a drugs case.

During the hearing, the investigator presented significant evidence against the accused facilitators to the court. The police presented documentary evidence of more than 500 pages against the suspects.

According to the investigation report, the accused, Zeeshan-ur-Rehman and Sohail Rehman, operate a store ‘Easy Load’ and were allegedly involved in drug supply operations and financial transactions in collaboration with Pinky.

The report states that Zeeshan and Sohail are the main enablers of Pinky. Police also submitted details of call recordings and voice notes involving Pinky and his associates as evidence.

The investigator asked the court to reject the defendants’ bail applications. After hearing the arguments, the court reserved its decision on the bail applications. According to the police, a case against the accused was registered at the Garden police station.

Pinky ran a highly organized cocaine supply network in Karachi using a secret communications and delivery system designed to protect the identities of customers and agents, investigators told The Express PK Press Club.

Sources said the suspect and her associates used mobile phones without SIM cards and communicated through social media platforms to avoid detection by law enforcement.
