As the Trump administration negotiated a ceasefire with Iran, WWE announced on Thursday that its premium live event Night of Champions would be held in Riyadh on June 27.

“We are proud to welcome Night of Champions back to Riyadh and look forward to delivering another unforgettable evening of WWE action to fans in the Kingdom and around the world,” General Entertainment Authority Chairman Turki Al-Sheikh said in a press release.

WWE Chairman Nick Khan insisted ahead of WrestleMania 42 that the event would still take place in Saudi Arabia despite the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.

“We will do WrestleMania next year in Saudi Arabia,” he said at a Sports Business Journal event, via The Sporting Tribune. “For the first time, WrestleMania will take place outside of the United States or Canada. And we have had an important and successful partnership with them.”
