A police constable was killed on Monday evening after terrorists launched a brazen attack on a check post in Killi Harmezai area of Pishin district of Balochistan.
According to police sources, unknown terrorists opened fire indiscriminately on the checkpoint located in the Harmezai region. The sudden assault left Hawaldar Nematullah seriously injured. He was immediately taken to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment, but he succumbed to his injuries.

The attackers managed to flee the scene shortly after the shooting. In response, security forces quickly cordoned off the entire area and launched a large-scale search operation to apprehend the culprits.
Hawaldar Nematullah was a veteran and respected member of the local police force, known among his colleagues for his sense of duty.
Top police officials visited the hospital to offer condolences to the grieving family. The Balochistan Police strongly condemned this cowardly attack and vowed to bring the perpetrators to justice.

Balochistan is constantly subject to terrorist attacks.
Security forces on Saturday killed five terrorists during an intelligence operation in Noshki, hours after two separate attacks on police stations in Noshki and Kachhi districts.
Last week, a police chief was martyred and six personnel, including a sub-inspector of the Counter Terrorism Department, were seriously injured in a fierce exchange of fire during a targeted operation against terrorists in Dasht area.
Last month, two police officers were killed when unidentified suspects opened fire on an Eagle Squad team on the Eastern Bypass.
