President to undergo medical exam despite serious concerns

Trump health update: President to undergo physical despite serious concerns

US President Donald Trump will have a medical and dental exam on May 26 at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.

The medical exam was confirmed by the White House on Monday, May 11, describing it as “a routine annual dental and medical evaluation as part of his regular preventative health care.”

This is his fourth medical visit disclosed since his return to power.

Trump is set to turn 80 next June, becoming the oldest person ever elected to the White House.

Trump’s health problems increased following his public appearances, showing bruises and injuries on his hands, as well as bruising on his skin.

Trump’s doctor, Navy Capt. Sean Barbabella, had said the bruising was due to “frequent handshakes and taking aspirin.” He reportedly consumes 325 milligrams of aspirin each day, more than his doctors advise, as a preventative measure against heart disease.

Despite increased health surveillance, the president dismissed all concerns. Speaking to reporters on Monday, he said he felt “literally the same way” as he did 50 years ago.

“I don’t know why. It’s not because I eat the best foods,” he said.
