MP accused of illegal dispossession

15 to 20 armed men are said to have scaled the surrounding wall and taken possession of the property by force

RAWALPINDI:

A citizen has accused PML-N lawmaker Zia Ullah Shah of allegedly occupying a property in Rawalpindi, filing a complaint at a public hearing held by the CPO.

According to the complaint filed by Ayaz Khan, he purchased a canal property in Syedpur project from its previous owners, obtained the required no-objection certificate (NOC) from the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) and started construction after getting approval for the construction plan.

He said the guards, including one Mudassar, were residing in the house under construction when 15 to 20 armed men allegedly scaled the boundary wall, entered the premises, threatened the guards and forcibly took possession of the property.

The complainant alleged that when he arrived at the scene after informing Rescue 15, the armed men pointed guns at him and prevented him from entering the house.

Speaking to The Express PK Press Club, Zia Ullah Shah dismissed the allegations as fabricated.
