CD Projekt Red says The Witcher 3 Songs of the Past expansion was supposed to launch this year, but a delay to 2027 “was the best possible outcome”

As rumors claimed, The Witcher 3: Wild Huntthe third extension of, Songs from the pastwas initially scheduled to launch this year before being pushed back to 2027.

That’s according to Michał Nowakowski, co-CEO of CD Projekt Red, who revealed during the company’s latest financial results call (via Eurogamer) that the team “had a moment where our plans for Songs from the past would be released this year”, but decided with the development team that “the game would be launched in 2027 to achieve the best possible result from a consumer point of view, which in the end, truth be told, is the only thing that really matters”.
