The Traitors New Zealand is finally back for a third season after being on hiatus last year. Madeleine Sami succeeds Paul Henry, who will not be part of season 3.
In total, 21 participants will play the game of trust and betrayal, but above all strategy, to try to win real money. They are divided into two groups – the faithful and the traitors – and the latter are secretly chosen by the host.
Each night, the traitors decide which loyal contestant to eliminate, forcing them to leave the show. At the end of each day, all participants gather around the round table to discuss and decide who they think could be the traitors with the aim of eliminating them.
If all traitors are eliminated at the end of the show, the remaining prize pool will be divided among the surviving loyalists. However, if a single traitor survives to the end, they will win the entire prize.
Like the previous two seasons, season 3 of The Traitors NZ was filmed at Claremont Castle in Timaru. The season is expected to last 10 episodes, with two episodes airing each week starting May 31, 2026. The finale is scheduled to air June 28.
