- Director Travis Knight already knows what story he wants to tell about them
Masters of the Universe is now out in theaters worldwide – and this new Amazon movie has a post-credits scene that will delight fans of the sci-fi fantasy franchise.
The brief scene teases a long-awaited live-action film starring one of the Mattel-owned property’s most popular characters. And, if that wasn’t enough to get tongues wagging among fans of the He-Man-led franchise, the film’s director Travis Knight “already has ideas” about the story he’d like to tell about said character.

So who is the individual teased in the post-credits scene of one of the new 2026 films? This will be She-Ra, aka Adam/He-Man’s long-lost twin sister.
We don’t see her face in said scene, and no one is credited with performing her. British actress Lauren Saliu has confirmed (via Instagram) that she is playing the Eternal Princess, although it is unclear whether she will officially play She-Ra in the future or if she is simply a stand-in for this clip.
Real name Adora, she has the same superhuman abilities as her brother. She-Ra also wields her own mystical blade called the Sword of Protection and has an animal companion – Spirit the Horse – who, like He-Man’s Cringer/Battle-Cat, transforms into a battle-ready creature called Swift Wind when Adora becomes She-Ra.
Unlike her fellow Eternian, She-Ra has never appeared, much less starred, in a live-action film. So far, she is only present in two animated series: 1985 She-Ra: Princess of Power and, more recently, the incredibly well-received television anime She-Ra and the Princesses of Powerwhich aired on Netflix for five seasons between 2018 and 2020.
His cameo in Masters of the UniverseThe end credits scene is therefore a landmark moment because it implies that She-Ra could not only make her live-action debut in due time, but also appear on the big screen for the very first time.
But if she will, it depends Masters of the Universeperformance at the global box office. Do well enough, if not exceed expectations, and Amazon MGM Studios would be foolish not to greenlight a sequel starring He-Man and She-Ra, or even a standalone Adora-led adventure.
Whichever of these options gets the green light, Knight has a vision for the kind of story involving She-Ra that he’d like to tell. However, he is also fully aware that, if Masters of the Universe doesn’t make a splash, an Adora-led movie might never get made – which is why she wasn’t part of this movie’s ensemble and why a famous actor wasn’t officially cast to play her in this short cameo.
“In every film I’ve made, I’ve always imagined where the characters are outside the confines of the film,” Knight told me. “You want to tell a self-contained story, and I think we did that with this movie, but there were things in the larger mythology that didn’t fit into it, and the character of She-Ra was one of them.
“Adora is also a character that has a lot of weight to her,” Knight continued. “A lot of people, myself included, love this character, so we wanted to give a little nod to where he is. [a She-Ra movie] we could go there if we had the opportunity to tell more stories.
“I would love to see it come to life on the big screen and I have ideas about how that would happen,” he added. “But while we never got the chance to do that, we told a self-contained story that works here.”
