A Pakistan Army Aviation Mi-17 helicopter crashed near Muzaffarabad during takeoff due to a technical problem, the military’s media wing said on Wednesday. There were no survivors.
According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), all the personnel on board embraced martyrdom. “Rescue and recovery teams immediately reached the accident site,” the ISPR said, adding that “a commission of inquiry has been ordered to determine the exact technical cause of the accident.”

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed deep sadness and grief over the tragic crash of Pakistan Army’s Mi-17 helicopter near Muzaffarabad.
He paid tribute to all the soldiers who were martyred during this incident, saying that the entire nation salutes the sacrifices of its courageous soldiers. The Prime Minister also prayed for the elevation of the ranks of the martyrs and for patience and strength for their bereaved families.
