A total of 16 international teams from different armies participated in this annual event, according to the military media arm
The Pakistan Army team, represented by the Pakistan Military Academy (PMA), won the first place in the International Pacesticking Competition 2026 held at the Royal Military Academy (RMA), Sandhurst, United Kingdom (UK), the Army’s media wing announced on Friday.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Team PMA made a clean sweep of the competition, winning all major honors including the overall team trophy, best pace award and best driver award.
“The nine-member Pakistani contingent, led by Major Haider Gulzar (Warrant Officer, PMA), arrived in the United Kingdom on June 5, 2026,” the statement added.
The ISPR said that a total of 16 international teams from different armies participated in the hotly contested annual event.
“The victory of the Pakistan Army team reflects the highest standards of professional training, excellence and dedication maintained by the Pakistan Armed Forces,” the statement concluded.

On May 6, Pakistan Army cadet Sardar Arsam Abbas was declared the ‘best foreign military cadet’ by the Royal Military College (RMC) of Australia, army media reported.
According to ISPR, “Australian RMC Duntroon declared Pakistan Army Cadet Sardar Arsam Abbas (Long Course PMA 152) “the best foreign military cadet” during the passing out parade held at RMC Duntroon, Canberra on 5 May 2026.”
“The award is given to the best performing foreign military cadet in all facets of training. This is a testament to the highest standards of professionalism, commitment and excellence demonstrated by the young leaders of the Pakistan Army,” the statement said.
