NYT Strands today (game #836) – the answers
The answers to today’s Strands, game #836, are…
- BUCKET
- TRACTOR
- KNIGHT
- FORK
- WHEELBARROW
- SPANGRAM: AGRICULTURE
- My rating: Hard
- My rating: 2 tips
I was completely floored when “horse” and “horses” both came up as non-game words, because I had assumed we were looking for the names of animals that might reside “in the barnyard.”
Fortunately, there were dozens of non-gaming words on the board, so I opted to follow a few clues to ease my puzzlement, with BUCKET and TRACTOR confirming that we were looking for barnyard equipment rather than barnyard animals.
It took me a while to work around the board, sighing inwardly as I picked up SAWHORSE and experiencing a slight childish pleasure with the circular wheelbarrow. I hope you had a better time.
Answers from yesterday’s NYT Strands (Tuesday June 16, match #835)

- SOUP
- Tacos
- SPANGRAM: WHAT FOR LUNCH
