Palace have provided a touching update following the highly anticipated return of an important family member after a difficult time.
On June 5, the official Instagram page of the Norwegian royal family published the first photo of Mette-Marit, Crown Princess of Norway, after her lung transplant surgery.
The princess was seen sitting with her husband, Haakon, Crown Prince of Norway, as the couple celebrated Norway’s incredible victory over Brazil in the FIFA World Cup.
In another photo, the crown prince and princess were seen looking out of the palace window, perhaps watching Norwegians celebrate the country’s great victory.
The crown prince and princess notably watched the exciting match from the royal palace. While Princess Ingrid Alexandra and Prince Sverre Magnus were on the pitch to support their national team live.
The statement upon Mette-Marit’s return from her hospital stay said: “Yesterday was a historic evening!
“The whole family watched with excitement! The King and Queen of Mågerø, the Crown Prince and Queen of the Palace, as well as Princess Ingrid Alexandra and Prince Sverre Magnus at the stadium in the USA.
“Congratulations to the national team, support staff and Norway on this fantastic achievement!”
