SquareLocator, a discovery platform for the Squarespace ecosystem, launched last month. The platform aims to cut through the noise of traditional search by offering a curated list of Squarespace tools, templates, plugins and specialized services, making it easier for designers, developers and creators to find the reliable tools they need to build stunning websites.
In a press release shared with TechRadar Pro, SquareLocator highlights issues with Squarespace users having to navigate thousands of Google results, social media recommendations, and fragmented community forums.
“I realized I wasn’t looking for more options,” says Miles Noble, founder of SquareLocator. “I was looking for better recommendations.”
Giving a platform to independent creators
The problem for agencies, developers, and DIY Squarespace users is finding the right tools for the job. So, for the developers of these tools, getting discovered and monetizing their skills and hard work is one of their biggest challenges. This is the gap that SquareLocator promises to help fill.
“SquareLocator started as something I wished already existed,” shares Noble. “As I talked with more designers, developers, and creators, I realized I wasn’t the only one facing this challenge. Finding reliable tools shouldn’t mean sifting through thousands of search results or relying on chance recommendations. SquareLocator is designed to simplify discovery by connecting people to high-quality resources carefully curated by experts.”
According to the press release, rather than attempting to list everything, SquareLocator focuses on quality over quantity. The platform features credible tools from across the Squarespace ecosystem, organizing them into clear categories, making it easier for users to discover them, meaning they can spend less time searching and more time building stunning websites.
