Nawaz to help solve Baloch Imbroglio

Lahore:

Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said that he would be paid to contact the Balutchistan security crisis after Eidul Azha, after calls for legal fraternity asking to take care of the situation before becoming uncontrollable.

The president of the association of the Supreme Court Bar, Muhammad Rauf Atta and President Balouthistan High Court Bar Association, accompanied by the Federal Minister of Law Nazir Tarar, met Nawaz Sharif in his residence in Lahore to discuss growing security problems in Balutchistan.

The meeting, requested by Rauf Atta, aimed to persuade the chief of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) to break his political silence and take the lead in the resolution of the crisis.

In particular, Nawaz – who has largely remained on the touch of politics – would have been bad at the earliest and would have limited to rest, which the PML -N cited as the reason for its non -presentation during the recent meeting of the National Security Parliamentary Committee, convened following the Jaffar Express attack.

Addressing the Express PK Press Club, Rauf Atta declared that they had urged Nawaz to take the lead by finding a political solution to the crisis, stressing that this question was beyond politics.

“We asked Nawaz Sharif to break his political silence for Balutchistan,” said Atta. “We asked him to hire Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Nawab Akhtar Mengal, Nawaz Raisani and other key personalities to design a political solution.”

He said that even if they had recognized several attempts to break Nawaz’s bonds with his people, this time, the issues went beyond politics.

Attacle underlined the growing priority among the inhabitants of Balutchistan, declaring that those in power lacked public roots. He stressed that a real leadership should be authorized to take charge in the province, unlike the current members of the provincial assembly, which, according to him, avoided public interaction.

He also underlined the need to activate the local government system to ensure the participation of the public.

The president of the SCBA also offered the platform of the Barreau association if Nawaz decides to convene a conference on all the parties (APC) on the issue, undertake to also ensure the participation of PTI.

“The associations of the bar are neutral and do not belong to any political party, which is why all stakeholders would respect and recognize our efforts,” he said.

Attacle added that Nawaz seemed deeply concerned about the situation of Balutchistan and assured them that after Eid, he hired Fazlur Rehman and consults Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on his return to Pakistan.
