The United States has decided to stop the World Pakistan World Ugget World Exchange (UGGET) program. The program, which has been in place for 15 years, has provided hundreds of Pakistani students to study in the United States.

In an Instagram publication on Tuesday, the United States Educational Foundation (USEF) Pakistan announced the dismissal of the program, declaring that the United States Department of State had instructed the end of the initiative for Pakistan.

“We understand that this news can be disappointing, especially for those who applied this year and who were looking forward to this opportunity. Over the years, the World Ugrad program has provided experiences that have changed life to thousands of students, promoting academic growth, cultural exchange and leadership development. We are extremely proud of the impact of this program on its declaration.

The decision was a shock for many budding students in Pakistan who hoped to win an exhibition and improve their apprenticeship thanks to this exchange program.

This decision also reflects a broader trend in revocation visas in the United States for foreign nationals as part of a vast examination of national security, a process that has raised concerns and uncertainty among students and green cards holders.

The UGRAD Pakistan World Program, funded by the US government, has ended after taking advantage of more than 2,500 Pakistani students since its launch in 2010. The program has been designed to improve the community commitment of students, leadership skills and commitment to service.

The elders of the program continued to serve in various fields, raising their communities and gaining global recognition for their contributions. This marks the sustainable impact of the Pakistani students program, who have acquired a precious international exhibition and developed key skills.

The United States Educational Foundation in Pakistan (USEFP), which supervised the initiative, is a bi-national commission established in 1950 by the governments of the United States and Pakistan. Its mission is to promote mutual understanding between the peoples of the two countries through educational and cultural exchange programs.
