Islamabad: In a large breakthrough, one of the main intelligence agencies has annoyed a major terrorist terrorist aimed at launching a deadly assault against the PAF Masroor strategically vital air base in Karachi, sources of the intelligence community revealed.
According to officials, the complex plan was organized by a commander of the terrorist group based in Afghanistan, Fitna al-Khawarij (FAK), who heads the famous group’s suicide team.
The conspiracy involved nine highly trained terrorists – five of whom were Afghan nationals – led by a high -level FAK commander already sought in multiple terrorism affairs.
Terrorists, who had recently infiltrated Pakistan from Afghanistan, intended to break the air base by a pre-identified point, take control of the installation, destroy aircraft and infrastructure, and maintain the base as long as possible. Their objective was to inflict a maximum of damage and to engage in a prolonged shot until death.
The operation would have been under direct surveillance of the first FAK leadership -based leadership and involved nearly thirteen months of planning. The terrorists had taken housing near the air base and carried out in -depth recognition of the region.
However, the intelligence agency had closely monitored their movements. When the attackers were about to launch the final phase of their intrigue, the agency launched a quick, secret and coordinated operation, stopping the suspects of various places across the country.
The action of the agency not only protected the strategic air base, but also paralyzed a terrorist network Fak key involved in several previous attacks – including the November 2024 assault against Chinese engineers with Liberty Textile Mills in the Karachi site area.
It is believed that the same commander Fak captured in the current operation organized this attack before fleeing in Afghanistan.
The authorities describe him as an IED expert, trained in Afghanistan and former activist alongside the Afghan Taliban during their conflict with the NATO and ISAF forces.
Preliminary surveys suggest the involvement of hostile intelligence agencies, which would finish and equip terrorist elements to try to destabilize Pakistan. The officials underlined a similar terrorist plot thwarted last October, in which Fak and the hostile agencies had conspired to sabotage a major international event in Islamabad.
Despite such threats, the Armed Forces of Pakistan, intelligence services and law enforcement organizations remain firmly in their mission to protect the nation. The officials reaffirmed their commitment to eliminate terrorism in all its forms and to protect national security by coordinated and relentless vigilance.
