NEWYou can now listen to PK Press Club articles!

From Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappé’s stunning strikes to Harry Kane’s spot-kick, the 2026 World Cup has already seen over 100 goals, and there is so much more to come.

But thanks to Egypt’s two goals on Sunday against New Zealand in the group stage, World Cup goals reached an impressive milestone: a scorer for each letter of the alphabet.

Organized by last name, no World Cup has ever accomplished this feat. The 2018 World Cup came close, with a scorer for each letter except Y.

Well, thanks to the goals scored by Egyptians Trezeguet and Mostafa Zico, the list of 26 letters is now complete. Here’s a look at the first alphabet of the 2026 World Cup scorers.
