A Nintendo Switch 2 version of Star Field is apparently real as Bethesda’s space role-playing game (RPG) gets a new rating.
As reported by Universo Nintendo, Star Field has been officially rated for the Switch 2 by the Taiwan Entertainment Software Rating Information Committee.
The screenshot shows that it was registered in its database on April 15, 2026, with an ESRB rating of “R”, meaning “Restricted”, as it features “violence, drugs and inappropriate language”.

Bethesda and Nintendo have yet to officially announce a Switch 2 port, but this note more or less confirms that it’s at least on the way. Microsoft will be hosting an Xbox Games Showcase event on June 7, which seems like the perfect time to announce it.
Rumors about a potential Star Field The Switch 2 port has been circulating for a while, with the first rumors emerging late last year. The same rumors also claimed that a PlayStation 5 port was on the way, which proved true when it finally released earlier this month.
The PS5 version offered new features for the DualSense wireless controller and two exclusive graphics modes for PS5 Pro: Pro Performance Mode and Pro Visual Mode.
Field of stars, what was initially launched as an Xbox and PC exclusive in September 2023, also just received two huge expansions, Terran Armada and free routes.
Terran Armada has added all-new premium content, while the Free lanes The patch introduced a new cruise mode that finally allows players to travel between planets within systems while spending time inside their ship.
