LeBron James’ agent, Rich Paul, won’t put a specific timetable on his client’s free agent decision.
They’re in no rush, even though the basketball world wants the NBA’s all-time leader to make a choice.
“There have been several people who have called me and said, ‘Hey, Rich, is there anything more we should do?

Paul is basically saying that James has all the information he needs from potential teams, enough that he’ll be happy with the choice he ends up making.
However, Paul stressed that James would do it when he was ready. And Paul has no idea when or where this is going to happen.

“These people don’t know anything. I don’t know when his choice is going to be made, but it could take 48 seconds.” [from now]”, Paul explained. “It could take 48 minutes. I don’t know. Again, you can’t let someone know something they don’t know. »
It’s gotten to the point where James’ decision to become a free agent has caused drama in the NBA world, as anticipation grows with each passing day without word.
At Fanatics Fest last weekend, James made several appearances, where crowds packed Manhattan’s Javits Center to see if he would reveal where he was going. They were disappointed because he had nothing to reveal.

Even NBA Commissioner Adam Silver mentioned that James’ decision delayed the league’s schedule for next season. Paul mentioned that he met with Silver to discuss this situation, reiterating that James will make the decision when he is ready – and not because of any other factor.
The questionable basketball “GOAT” helped the Lakers to fourth place in a strong Western Conference last season, averaging 20.9 points, 7.2 assists and 6.1 rebounds in 60 games. And although Luka Doncic was unavailable in the playoffs, James was able to lead the Lakers past the Houston Rockets in the first round before a sweep against the Oklahoma City Thunder in May.
James will be 42 years old during the 2026-27 NBA season, but the 22-time All-Star and four-time MVP continues to prove his worth.

But, for those who think he is dragging out another decision longer than necessary, Paul is stern in his response: James will not be rushed.
The league – the world – will just have to wait for the right moment.
