- The RX 9060 XT of AMD should be launched in May
- It is the word of Chiphell, and other sources indicated that Calpex (May 20) also before
- With the NVIDIA RTX 5060 which also made its debut in May, another top -to -head confrontation – like the RX 9070 VS RTX 5070 models – is in sight
AMD’s RX 9060 XT RX 9060 XT graphics card, apparently the next online in the RDNA 4 range, could be released in May, or this is the new statement of the vine.
As reported by Harukaze5719 on X (via Videocardz), a regular in terms of hardware signulation, a chiphell editor presented the idea of a launch in May, without mentioning a specific date (or even a range of deadlines) in the month.
Chiphell is a forum in China, and the information has fallen from there must be taken with a certain caution, especially since it is a vague affirmation. But in Theor, it indicates that the RX 9060 XT models could appear in just over two weeks (although it will probably be later in the month, and I will come back to this point shortly).
Rumors of recent specification have the RX 9060 XT as equipped with 16 GB and 8 GB of Video RAM, as with the RTX 5060 Ti which has just been revealed from Nvidia, except that AMD sticks to the older GDDR6 memory, rather than following the Green team upgrade path to (faster) GDDR7.
The 9060 XT would have half of the graphic nuclei of the RX 9070 XT, and even half of the memory bandwidth. It supposedly has a slightly faster boost speed, however, so Guesswork currently has the performance of the RX 9060 XT launched at just over half (about 60%) of the 9070 XT (add the seasoning now, and don’t be shy with it). Elsewhere, we have heard that the incoming GPU is likely to stay below the image frequencies delivered by the RX 7700 XT.
Analysis: May seems just for the 9060 XT launch – Hopefully the price is also good
Officially, AMD only said that the RX 9060 models arrived in the second quarter, which could be at any time until the end of June – and Team Red became quite silent on these DNA 4 GPUs.
Can it seem a realistic perspective for a RX 9060 XT launch? Well, it is an intermediate bet – literally bang in the middle of T2 – and of course, AMD will not want to be seen behind Nvidia. Team Green has just unleashed the RTX 5060 TI (it is sold today) and the RTX 5060 is due in May (with an attractive sounds of $ 299 of PDSF).
As Videocardz also observes it, other rumors of NVIDIA graphics card manufacturing partners have suggested a Calpex launch for 9060 XT models, which is later in May (the program starts on May 20, in fact). Thus, rumors seem to line up around a period that makes sense, but as always, getting carried away at your own risk.
With the drop in NVIDIA prices on its RTX 5060 models compared to Lovelace, this will require, hopefully, AMD to examine more affordable price labels for the RX 9060 XT. Rumors in Chiphell suggest that prices could win the equivalent of the RTX 5060, with perhaps a requested price of $ 299 for the spin of 16 GB and $ 249 for the 8 GB model. Other rumors have suggested that this is too optimistic, and we could look at around 10%.
The pricing and availability of the real world, rather than the PDSF, should be a key factor in this lower battle of the average range – and fear is really that Nvidia will go wrong in this regard. However, we must not judge in advance (although it is difficult not to in the case of the Green team), and with all the chaos around the prices and potential price increases at the moment, the waters could not be thicker with mud, frankly.
It should also be noted that 8 GB graphics cards do not go well these days-for obvious reasons, because this VRAM loading seems very fragile for any type of future-to-how-it therefore does not seem wise for the NVIDIA AMD version of NVIDIA, AMD, AMD, is it extended too leaning with the RX 9070 version, in particular AMD, AMD has been avoided. (While the Nvidia RTX 5070 remained with a 12 GB of 12 GB).
However, the theory is that this lower level RX 9060 XT 8GB is launched instead of the Vanilla RX 9060 (on which the vine remains silent, perhaps revealing).
Aside from the video, there is a certain disappointment more widely with the overall specifications of the RX 9060 XT, as the rumor she says, feeling a little weak. But as mentioned, the prices will be crucial here, and if the 9060 XT base (8 GB) is found at $ 250 (or a whisper), this could make it a pleasantly convincing budgetary GPU.
