ISPR says both sides discuss issues of mutual interest, regional security and defense cooperation
Commander Bahrain National Guard General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Isa on Tuesday appreciated the role of Pakistan Army in promoting regional peace and stability during a meeting with Chief of Defense Forces (CDF) and Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Asim Munir.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Bahrain National Guard Chief visited CDF Munir at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi, where the two sides discussed issues of mutual interest, regional security environment and avenues to strengthen bilateral defense and security cooperation.
“Both dignitaries expressed satisfaction over the long-standing fraternal relations between Pakistan and Bahrain and highlighted the importance of further strengthening military-to-military collaboration,” the ISPR said.
The Bahrain National Guard chief also separately visited Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf and Chief of Air Staff Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu.
“At the Naval Headquarters, the meeting focused on bilateral defense collaboration and regional security dynamics. The Bahrain National Guard Chief lauded the constructive role of the Pakistan Navy in promoting cooperative maritime security in the region, expressing appreciation for its role in stabilizing regional maritime security,” the ISPR said.

The statement added that during the meeting at the Air Headquarters, the Air Chief highlighted the modernization efforts of the Pakistan Air Force, including capacity building, infrastructure development, indigenization and advanced training reforms.
“Discussions focused on emerging defense technologies such as drones, artificial intelligence, autonomous systems, advanced sensors and digital innovation, as well as evolving air defense challenges and integrated defense architectures,” the statement added.
According to the ISPR, the Bahraini commander appreciated the professionalism and operational preparedness of the Pakistani armed forces.

“He also praised the modernization initiatives and indigenous capabilities of the Pakistan Armed Forces, expressing interest in further cooperation in training, emerging technologies and capacity building initiatives,” the statement said.
The ISPR said the visit reflected the strong and enduring defense partnership between Pakistan and Bahrain and was expected to further advance bilateral military cooperation for the mutual benefit of the two brotherly nations.
Earlier in the morning, Commander-in-Chief of the Lebanese Armed Forces, General Rodolphe Haykal, visited CDF Munir at GHQ, where the two discussed regional security, defense cooperation and prospects for strengthening bilateral military relations.
According to the ISPR, the visiting dignitary was given a guard of honor by a well-attended Tri Services contingent on his arrival at GHQ.
“During the meeting, the two dignitaries exchanged views on issues of mutual interest, developments in the regional security environment, defense cooperation and prospects for strengthening bilateral military relations,” the statement added.
The ISPR said the discussions focused on strengthening professional interactions, training cooperation and institutional ties between the armed forces of the two countries.
