- Belkin launches two new accessories for the Nintendo Switch 2
- Charging handle aims to improve comfort and extend battery life
- This could help solve one of the Switch 2’s biggest portable gaming challenges: shorter gaming sessions.
As the Nintendo Switch 2’s one-year anniversary approaches on June 5, Belkin is expanding its line of accessories for the popular hybrid gaming console with two new additions.
While you might think of Belkin as a maker of wall chargers, power banks, and screen protectors for your iPhone, the accessories brand has come up with some pretty awesome products for the Switch 2. I’ve previously written about the Nintendo Switch 2 charging case, which has been out for several months, and we even gave Belkin’s screen protector four and a half out of five stars for the console.
This reminds me that I may need to invest in one, since I use the Switch 2 almost exclusively as a handheld. And that brings me to Belkin’s charging handle for the Switch 2, which is available now for $99 / £69.99 / AU$149.
The general idea here is that it wraps around the Switch 2 for a more comfortable gaming experience, although it does add a bit more weight to the unit. It also features magnets on the back, allowing a power bank – included – to easily snap into place.
And for me, that’s the big win here. We’ve seen other power solutions, even from Belkin, but normally you have to try to hold the battery or let it dangle. Here, it snaps into place on the back, and its included cable can easily plug into the Switch 2 to solve one of my biggest issues: battery life in handheld mode.
For longer gaming sessions – which the battery naturally allows – and to improve overall ergonomics, the grip also wraps around the Switch 2’s Joy-Cons. Perhaps more importantly, the grips are non-slip and still allow you to remove the Joy-Cons while the charging handle remains attached to the Switch 2. It’s simply a clever design, and there’s even a built-in kickstand. If you also like to use the Switch 2 docked on a larger screen, like a TV, the grip doesn’t affect compatibility.
So for the price, you get both the Switch 2 handle and a 10,000mAh power bank with a cable for easy plug-and-play charging. Belkin says the power bank can charge the Switch 2 up to 1.5 times and you can monitor the battery level via a circular LED screen on the device.

Less electronic, but no less useful, the Travel Bag for Nintendo Switch 2 is not only a cutting-edge way to transport the console, but also offers dedicated storage space for key accessories. It can hold the Switch 2, a Pro Controller, and other accessories. Like other Belkin cases, it also includes slots for up to 10 game cards. It’s worth noting that it’s designed to work with the charging handle, meaning these two products go hand in hand.
You’ll also have room inside for other accessories, and whether you swear by an AirTag, Tile tracker, or MotoTag, there’s a dedicated slot for one. Belkin’s Travel Bag for Nintendo Switch 2 is available now for $49.99 / £29.99 / AU$54.95 from the brand’s online store and Amazon.

The travel bag and charging handle are available in three colors: black, lilac and olive. Although the latter two add a bit of color, I still hope Belkin will increase the vibrancy and introduce a few more fun shades if these accessories prove popular.
