“If I were a wrestling promoter and wanted to attract as many people as possible without regard to cost, even if it meant bankruptcy, I would make admission free and give everyone unlimited free pizza and beer,” Jacobs wrote.
“And that, my friends, was the immigration policy of the Biden administration.”
President Donald Trump’s stance on immigration helped him win the 2024 presidential election against Kamala Harris. In May, the Trump administration celebrated a full year of “zero releases” at the southern border.
In a press release announcing the drop in releases at the southern border, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) pointed to broader statistics showing illegal crossings and apprehensions at levels authorities have not seen in more than three decades. CBP said the Border Patrol recorded 8,943 apprehensions at the southwest border in April, 94% lower than the Biden administration’s monthly average, 96% lower than the December 2023 peak during Biden’s term and fewer than the number of apprehensions in just three days in April 2024.

Jacobs compared Hawk to New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani.
“Knox County has its own Mini Mamdani running to replace me as the next mayor,” he wrote in a separate article on
