Britney Spears reflects on her ‘endless journey’ after arrest and rehab

Britney Spears says she needs to ‘learn to be kind’ to herself

Britney Spears shares some personal thoughts after pleading guilty to dangerous driving involving drugs or alcohol.

On Sunday, May 6, the pop princess shared on her Instagram about life’s “endless journey” and the gratitude she feels toward those she’s met along the way. The post was accompanied by a photo of a baby albino ball python, which was highly reminiscent of the amelanistic Burmese python she performed with at the 2001 VMAs.

“Went to the pet store with my kids and look what a beautiful baby snake it is,” Spears, 44, wrote in the caption, noting that “snakes symbolize good health, higher consciousness and pure luck.”

Inspired by the symbolism, Spears said every experience and encounter she’s had has been a “blessing in disguise.”

“I’m so grateful for my friends and so many new beautiful people I’ve met on my spiritual journey…it’s all a blessing in disguise,” she wrote.

Realizing that her journey is far from over, the Toxic The hitmaker added: “I still have to learn to be kind to myself and the way I talk to myself… It’s a never ending journey and sometimes I stop, I look up and I say wow my God, I think that was you and I smile!!!!

This reflection comes in the wake of Spears’ recent legal and personal issues. Last month, she was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. She quickly checked herself into rehab, and last week was able to plead guilty to a lesser charge of dangerous driving involving drugs or alcohol.

As she continues to recover from setbacks, Spears has had constant support from her two sons, Sean Preston, 21, and Jayden James, 19.
