BTC Recovers $77,000 for Middle East Peace Deal

After collapsing around 4% Friday evening and early Saturday, bitcoin more than traced those losses in the final minutes after President Trump announced an upcoming deal with Iran and other Middle Eastern countries.

“An agreement has been extensively negotiated, subject to finalization, between the United States of America, the Islamic Republic of Iran and the various other countries,” Trump wrote in a Truth Social article.

“In addition to many other elements of the agreement, the Strait of Hormuz will be open,” the president continued.

The news sent bitcoin soaring to $76,700 after falling to nearly $74,000 earlier Saturday.
