Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark served as grand marshal for the Indianapolis 500 on Sunday.

The Fever posted several clips of Clark at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. In one video, Clark showed off the sea of ​​fans waiting to get a glimpse of the WNBA superstar. Then, she announced to the drivers to return to their cars and prepare for the race.

“I am honored to represent Gainbridge as Grand Marshal of the Indy 500,” Clark said in a statement before the race. “I can’t wait to experience an iconic piece of what makes Indiana so special and become part of the time-honored tradition of ‘The Greatest Spectacle in Racing.’”

Clark joined a long list of celebrities who have served as grand marshal, including Derek Jeter, Alex Rodriguez and Blake Shelton.

Clark is among the best and most popular players in the WNBA as she looks to lead the Fever back to the playoffs. She missed a game earlier in the week due to injury, but returned to the court against the Golden State Valkyries.
