Cara Delevingne shared something about her personal life that many fans didn’t know.
During a recent interview, the 33-year-old actress revealed that she was engaged twice, although she never ended up getting married.
Cara made a surprise confession while speaking The Louis Théroux podcast.
The conversation turned to his current girlfriend, musician Minke, when Louis Theroux asked if the couple was engaged.
THE Paper cities The actress smiled and replied, “No. I’ve been engaged… I’ve been proposed to. I’ve also proposed to someone.”
The host looked surprised, but Cara laughed and chose not to reveal who her former fiancées were.
“Wasn’t that known?” she joked. “(It) doesn’t matter (to whom) anymore. They’re long gone. It sucks for them!”
Although she kept their names private, Cara previously dated singer St. Vincent and actress Ashley Benson. Both relationships sparked engagement rumors at the time, but neither was ever confirmed.
THE Suicide squad The star also explained why she accepted the proposals even though marriage was never something she really wanted.
“It was something about real marriage that I really didn’t believe in,” she said.
The star went on to explain that being engaged made her feel like a relationship was more secure.
THE Only murders in the building The star added that marriage has always made her nervous because she loves her freedom. Despite this, she still believes in the deep connection between two people and hopes to have children one day.
Cara Delevingne has been dating Minke since 2022.
